CD311-Cochrane Purple Montana Stackers

Reprinted from "INSULATORS - Crown Jewels of the Wire", June 1972, page 30

Dear Dora,

Enclosed is a photo of Montana Stackers insulators I received a few months ago. Many of your readers probably heard of the purple bells in a suspension unit in the set of 6 bells. Well, I would like to know how many of your readers have heard of or have some of the purple bells in the set of 10. This set is a switch insulator used in Montana.

I don't remember who the man was who patented it. Well readers, who has one or has heard of one? Bases are the same as CD 311, but a bigger hole for the wood stick.

Thank you,
Richard Case
